Heather Wilson is on the House Energy and Commerce Committee and
voted in favor of the Markey Amendment. This is the only Internet
regulatory bill under consideration that has any teeth to enforce the
unlimited access provision.
The implications of the Markey Amendment not passing in favor of
another is the increased cost for non-commercial websites and the
ability for internet providers to censor content they do not agree
with. These could be health related or information related, similar
to Walmart pharmacists being able to make a moral decision about
dispensing drugs.

The giant telephone and cable companies are trying to take control of
the Internet away from the public.
They're asking Congress to give them the power to tell you where you
can go on the Internet-and what you can do.
Please, join me in standing up for the Internet as we know it. Click
