Sherri,

While I would love to help you out, the time and the risk of lending  
out a hard drive is fairly substantial. I would recommend buying an  
external drive that is bootable and using a backup utility and make  
this part of a regular routine. I backup my entire main drive daily  
to a LaCie 250GB external firewire drive using SuperDuper (there are  
plenty of other backup utilities, that's just the one I chose). It's  
very easy to do and will probably be cheaper in the long run to do it  
yourself. You will also have the knowledge and security of being in  
control of your own data. Should you have problems, I'm sure one of  
the helpdesk members would be happy to walk you through the process.

I bought my backup drive at Baillio's and it was ready to plug in and  
use. I probably paid a few dollars more by doing so, but I saved the  
shipping cost and had it the same day. Any of the Mac mail order  
houses will have suitable drives as well.
