[Helpdesk] need to borrow external firewire harddrive asap

Okay, sorry... let me try to be a little more helpful:

What's the interface - FireWire or USB? One possiblity would be to mount it on a Windoze machine and reformat it there to FAT32, which might be more amenable to mounting as read/write on a Mac, where you could reformat it as HFS+.

Just a thought... I could help you with it on my PC at work if its got a USB interface.
