[Helpdesk] FW: Delivery Status Notification (Failure) spam filter??

It's difficult to tell, but are these messages that you're trying to send
and that have been bounced back to you, or are these random messages that
have recently appeared in your email inbox?

In the event that you are trying to send to a person, and your messages are
being denied, then it may benefit you to contact the ISP, or sign up for a
free email address. (Yahoo, Gmail, etc.)

If this is the latter, (and I suspect that it is.) Then what happens, and
this happens to many people out there. Then someone who sends spam is using
your address as a reply-to address, (or something similar) so that when they
send spam, your address is viewed to be the offending one, and not theirs.
This is a very common problem, and usually has no easy, or worthwhile
solution, as replying to the emails only adds more confusion to your life,
and is rarely, if ever, effective.

Spam is so pervasive, that junk email senders send to every possible
combination of addresses, i.e. "karodgers at msn.com" and "karodgers2 at msn.com".
And in order to cover their tracks, they have an equally long list of
aliases, and people who they pretend to be. Often, the best thing to do, is
be vigilant in cleaning out your email inbox, and empty the deleted items
folder frequently.
