[Helpdesk] Palm Desktop

I've been using Palm Desktop for calendar and contact
information for around 7 years or more without a hitch. Well now
I've had a hitch. Last week when I tried to bring it up, I got an
error message "Unexpected end of file encountered." When I contacted
their tech support, they told me that the error message indicated my
data file was probably corrupted and asked if I had my palm pilot
synched to the desktop software recently. When I told them I hadn't,
they hung up on me - I presume because their policy is that if they
do solve your problem, they charge $25 and this one didn't look too
promising. I do have the data backed up on my previous Power PC but
it is around a year old. I was able to port it to my G5 but
obviously most of the updates I've made over 2005 are lost. I
planned to just deal with it the way it is but then thought someone
in the MUG might have some experience that might help me out. The
data file that won't open appears to be the right size to contain all
the data - it's around 20% larger than the old usable file.

	Any help would be appreciated-

	-Phil
