[Helpdesk] question

Can anyone tell me if a PowerPC G4 ibook with am 800 MHz 640MB ram and 30GB HD can support Tiger or do I need to go with 1 or more GHz? Someone is selling one for $600 on ebay. Is that a good deal? Anyone had good or bad experience buying a notebook on ebay? Thanks for your input, Lynn
