Subject: [SFMUG] information

Hi,

I have a question re the dvd drive in my powerbook 4, system 10.3.9. I could
not get it to write either through iDVD or Toast. The dvd contained clips,
photos, voiceovers, a aiff file and a piece of music from iTunes.

When I got to my home base in Los Alamos, I edited the dvd to eliminate both
pieces of music. I then attempted to write it through my external dvd
Lite-On drive. I soon realized I was writing the original file, not the one
with the music eliminated. BUT, it worked!

This morning when attempting to write an additional dvd of the same
material, the powerbook didn't even see the Lite-On.

My deduction is that the powerbook dvd drive is malfunctioning rather than
the music being the issue.

Does anyone there have any info they could share about this?

I called Apple last night when I wasn't able to write to the drive and he
thought it was the music.

My own email address is susanke at comcast.net

Thank you!

Susan
